I had the incredible opportunity to meet another well-known personality, the amazing Evelyn (@pinkdollev), through a friend Laarnie (@rikachuuable) at Taste of Japan 2024. It was nice seeing them as Yu Nishinoya from the ever-popular volleyball anime Haikyu!! Although Evelyn isn’t a traditional cosplayer, she brought the character to life in a spectacular way. She didn’t have a volleyball on hand, but in one of the photos I later posted on Instagram, I edited one into the shot—it turned out perfectly! I simply asked @pinkdollev to pretend to set the ball, and the actual photo ended up even better than I had imagined. She was amazing at posing and didn’t need much direction from me at all.
First time seeing them
This was my first time seeing @pinkdollev at an event, and I truly hope to meet her again—ideally outside of a convention, since she doesn’t usually identify as a cosplayer. I absolutely love her kawaii outfits, especially the pink ones. Her unique style is always well-coordinated and adorned with adorable accessories that enhance her look. You definitely need to follow her on Instagram at @pinkdollev, and don’t miss her YouTube videos—they’re an absolute delight to watch!
Unfortunately, I only managed to take a few photos of @pinkdollev. I also hope to collaborate with @pinkdollev on one of her pink-themed creations since I’ve always loved pink. Her kawaii outfits are simply wonderful to see. I know it might be challenging since she’s quite busy and lives outside the OC, but who knows? Maybe we’ll get the chance to shoot together at an anime convention or another local event soon.
