Introduction

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting incredible cosplayers at various Anime and Comic Cons. While it’s true that not every photo makes it to my Instagram, every interaction is memorable and adds to my journey as a photographer.

Because of that, I created this list to celebrate those experiences and highlight the talented cosplayers I’ve had the opportunity to meet. Alongside each cosplayer’s name, you’ll also find the date we met and the convention where we crossed paths.

Why I Love Meeting Cosplayers

Attending conventions and meeting cosplayers has always been one of the highlights of every event. Time and time again, the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication of the cosplay community continue to impress me.

Moreover, every costume tells a unique story, representing countless hours of planning, crafting, and passion. Whether the cosplay is handmade, customized, or inspired by a favorite series, I always appreciate the effort that goes into bringing a character to life.

Preserving Creative Moments

Over time, documenting these incredible creations has become a personal mission. Through photography, I can preserve these moments while sharing the artistry and talent behind each character with a wider audience.

In addition, every portrait serves as a lasting memory of the convention experience, allowing these amazing creations to be appreciated long after the event has ended.

How Cosplay Inspires Me

Every convention brings a fresh wave of creativity and inspiration. From iconic anime characters to lesser-known series, I enjoy seeing cosplayers showcase their favorite fandoms in unique and imaginative ways.

More importantly, cosplay is about much more than wearing a costume. It celebrates storytelling, artistic expression, and a welcoming community where fans can share their passions together.

As a photographer, I feel fortunate to capture these moments. By sharing my photos, these temporary works of art can continue inspiring others long after the convention doors have closed.

Exploring New Cosplay Inspiration

Recently, I’ve found myself drawn to discovering cosplay from a wider variety of anime, especially characters and series that aren’t part of the usual mainstream lineup.

Not only does this introduce me to new anime and manga, but it also gives me an even greater appreciation for the diversity and creativity within the cosplay community.

I always enjoy seeing lesser-known characters brought to life, as they often showcase unique designs, hidden gems, and the passion of dedicated fans.

However, it’s okay, because a few of them still post the photos I took, whether I tagged them or not. As a result, the spirit of our encounters continues to live on through their social media, and I’m grateful for that.

Moreover, each convention is a new adventure, filled with unique characters and unforgettable moments. Consequently, I’ve grown not only as a photographer but also as a member of the community.

Even if my name isn’t explicitly mentioned, the moments I captured still hold meaning, and that, in itself, is reassuring. In the end, the memories persist, even if I remain behind the scenes.
